I suppose the first thing I should talk about is why I take photographs like this. As a man, a lot of people will label me a perv or misogynist or a whole host of other really unpleasant and not very accurate terms so I will do my best to answer this as plainly and honestly as I can. From there you can form your own opinions.
I take images like this for two reasons.
Reason 1:-
They are EXTREMELY difficult for me to shoot. I am presented with a beautiful subject and I am terrified of not capturing that beauty or worse, making that subject look ugly. The fear is very real and something that I need to learn to confront.
Add to this that I find it difficult to articulate to my subject what I am visualizing and you have a situation that can be quite stressful.
Reason 2:-
I don't know what I am doing.
I mean I do, but practice makes ‘perfect’.
Unless I get out of my ‘comfort zone’ and attempt shoots like these I won’t improve.
Some of these (like this one) were taken on a film camera. Not because I needed to but I simply find it good to use from time to time. It and keeps my in-camera skillz sharp. I'm not sure why society has such an issue with nipples but this was taken so it could go on social media. I like the way she kept posing her hand as if to give the viewer a thumbs up.

This is the same style of image as above only without her hand covering anything. She is a naturally strong woman and tends to rest in positions of strength like this. It's such a nice contrast to see clear porcelain skin with the sudden introduction of pink.

I thought about taking this one in black and white but it looses a little when the odd blue and yellows aren't there.
All of these images have been cropped in a manner that protects the identity of my wonderful model.
I enjoy my time with this model. Because we are friends some (not all) of the pressure is taken away which is a great help when learning.
