The Theory of just getting on with it

Just start. Really, whatever it is just start. Regardless of what project or discipline you are engaged in you to have to start at some point. Once started, momentum can help and you will find you can keep going. The weird thing about starting is that even if you don't know where to start, starting at some point means you tend to figure out where you should have started fairly quickly. Am I making sense? Good.

What have I been doing?

Unfortunately, I really haven't been taking my own advice lately. I have managed to get myself caught in a perpetual planning cycle. Forever writing notes and blogs about a project I make very little progress towards.

Procrastinating too! Been doing lots of that. The worst thing about that is it has not been the sort of procrastinating that is easily spotted and corrected. I have been (legitimately I argue) watching youtube tutorials 'surely this is a helpful and productive use of my time!' and documentaries for inspiration... yeah, I know. Its all bollocks and just away of not starting something. Your right.

What are you doing about this?

That all changes soon though. The studio is booked the models and MUA are ready... all I need to do is start. Christ! I even deleted my Netflix account (when do I get my medal). I now also have a place to work! A separate location from which to form my creations...because doing it in my room was distracting as hell!

Why am I reading this?

Honestly? I'm not really sure.

Ok, so this was more of an update rather than a blog but coming soon will be the debrief on the next shoot. It will also be 'broadcast' (...is that the right word) on Instagram so feel free to tune in. If you are interested in my thought process I will be posting my notes on previous shoot + some more BTS videos on Patreon and Ko-Fi.
